Theme
The lesson introduces the traditional game Hekko from Nagaland. It encourages children to appreciate India’s cultural diversity, respect traditional games, work together as a team and develop qualities such as courage, discipline and fair play.

Teaching-Learning Process / Activities
The lesson will be taught through picture observation, storytelling, guided reading, discussion, vocabulary practice and activity-based learning. Students will actively participate in classroom interaction to understand the traditional game Hekko and the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Homework
Read the lesson aloud with correct pronunciation. Learn the new words, complete all textbook and workbook exercises, and collect information about any traditional game played in your village or state. Write five simple English sentences about that game.
Remedial and Enrichment Activities
Remedial Activities
Provide additional reading practice to children who find the lesson difficult. Explain the meaning of new words with the help of pictures, gestures and simple examples. Encourage pair reading and repeated oral practice to improve pronunciation, fluency and confidence.
Enrichment Activities
Ask advanced learners to prepare a short presentation on any traditional game of India. They may also compare Hekko with another team game and write five simple English sentences describing its rules, importance and the values it teaches.
Follow-up Plan
