The lesson introduces Maheshwar Fort through a conversation between Aarav, Ananya and their Chachi. The children become curious after seeing a picture of the fort in a newspaper.
Chachi explains that Maheshwar Fort was built by Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar, one of the greatest rulers of India. She was brave, wise and kind. She cared deeply for her people and built temples, schools and wells.
The fort is famous for its beautiful architecture, overhanging balconies, grand staircases and its location on the banks of the River Narmada. It was built using special red stones brought from Gujarat and Rajasthan.
