प्रकाश ने रवि से पूछा, “रवि! तुम कैसे हो?” रवि ने उत्तर दिया, “मैं बिल्कुल ठीक हूँ, प्रकाश। चलो बाहर चलकर खेलते हैं, आज मौसम धूप वाला है।” प्रकाश ने कहा, “हाँ, चलो।” इसके बाद रवि और प्रकाश अपने घर के पास स्थित बच्चों के पार्क में गए। वहाँ कुछ बच्चे पहले से खेल रहे थे। उन्होंने रवि को देखकर हाथ हिलाया। रवि ने भी मुस्कुराकर हाथ हिलाया और प्रकाश का परिचय अपने सभी मित्रों से अपने चचेरे भाई के रूप में कराया। कुछ देर तक खेलने के बाद सभी बच्चे एक साथ बैठकर बातचीत करने लगे।
गुनीत ने कहा, “कल लगोरी का मैच है। हमें प्रकाश को अपनी टीम में शामिल करना चाहिए, क्योंकि वह बहुत अच्छा धावक है।” दीपा ने भी सहमति जताते हुए कहा, “हाँ, वह बहुत तेज दौड़ता है।” तब प्रकाश ने उत्सुकता से पूछा, “क्या कोई मुझे बताएगा कि यह लगोरी का मैच क्या होता है?” उसकी बात सुनकर सभी बच्चे आश्चर्य से उसकी ओर देखने लगे। गुनीत ने पूछा, “क्या तुम्हें लगोरी खेल के बारे में नहीं पता?” प्रकाश ने उत्तर दिया, “नहीं, मुझे इसके बारे में कुछ भी नहीं पता।” तब निधि ने कहा, “रुको, मैं तुम्हें बताती हूँ। लगोरी वास्तव में सात पत्थरों से खेला जाने वाला एक खेल है।” यह सुनकर प्रकाश ने फिर पूछा, “सात पत्थरों का खेल? यह कैसे खेला जाता है?”
तभी निधि ने कहा, “देखो! इमरान आ गया है। वह भी इस खेल का एक चैंपियन खिलाड़ी है। वही तुम्हें इसके बारे में अच्छी तरह समझाएगा।” इमरान ने बताया, “लगोरी के खेल में सात चपटे पत्थरों को एक-दूसरे के ऊपर रखकर उनका ढेर बनाया जाता है। इसके बाद एक टीम गेंद मारकर उस ढेर को गिरा देती है। दूसरी टीम का काम गेंद से बचते हुए उन पत्थरों को फिर से पहले की तरह जमा देना होता है, जबकि पहली टीम के खिलाड़ी गेंद फेंककर उन्हें रोकने और आउट करने की कोशिश करते हैं।”
यह सुनकर प्रकाश बोला, “ओह! अच्छा, तो तुम लोग जिस खेल को लगोरी कहते हो, उसे हम राजस्थान में ‘सतोलिया’ कहते हैं।” दीपा ने आश्चर्य से पूछा, “सतोलिया क्या होता है?” प्रकाश ने उत्तर दिया, “राजस्थान में इस खेल को सतोलिया के नाम से जाना जाता है।” गुनीत ने खुशी से कहा, “वाह! आज हमें अपने पसंदीदा खेल का एक और नाम पता चला। हमारे सुंदरपुर गाँव में इसे लगोरी कहा जाता है और राजस्थान में यही खेल सतोलिया कहलाता है।”
इमरान ने कहा, “अब हमें यह भी पता चल गया कि यह खेल राजस्थान में भी खेला जाता है।” इसके बाद गुनीत ने प्रकाश से कहा, “क्या तुम्हें पता है कि हमारी लगोरी टीम का नाम ‘सुंदरपुर टाइगर्स’ है और हमारी मित्र दीपा हमारी टीम की कप्तान है।” रवि ने तुरंत कहा, “बिलकुल! दीपा बहुत तेज दौड़ती है।” फिर निधि ने रवि से कहा, “रवि, प्रकाश को हमारी विरोधी टीम के बारे में भी बताओ।”
रवि ने कहा, “हाँ प्रकाश, हम यह मैच पास के गाँव की ‘ग्रीन वॉरियर्स’ टीम के साथ खेलने वाले हैं।” दीपा ने कहा, “हमें प्रकाश को खेल के नियम भी बता देने चाहिए।” प्रकाश ने कहा, “हाँ, कृपया मुझे खेल के नियम भी बताइए।” तब इमरान ने समझाया, “खेल का मैदान सीमारेखा से घिरा होता है और किसी भी खिलाड़ी को उस सीमा के बाहर नहीं जाना चाहिए। सातों चपटे पत्थरों को मैदान के बीच में एक-दूसरे के ऊपर रखकर ढेर बनाया जाता है।” यह सुनकर प्रकाश बोला, “हाँ, सतोलिया खेलते समय भी हम यही नियम मानते हैं।” अंत में रवि ने कहा, “लगता है अब हम सभी मैच खेलने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हैं।”
अगले दिन सभी बच्चे समय पर खेल के मैदान में पहुँच गए। दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ी पूरे उत्साह और आत्मविश्वास से भरे हुए थे। खेल शुरू होने से पहले दोनों टीमों ने एक-दूसरे का अभिवादन किया और फिर मैदान में अपनी-अपनी जगह ले ली। दीपा ने अपनी टीम के खिलाड़ियों का उत्साह बढ़ाया और सभी को मिल-जुलकर खेलने के लिए प्रेरित किया। दूसरी ओर, ग्रीन वॉरियर्स की टीम भी पूरे जोश के साथ मुकाबले के लिए तैयार थी।
खेल शुरू होते ही पहली टीम ने गेंद से सात पत्थरों के ढेर को गिरा दिया। इसके बाद दूसरी टीम के खिलाड़ी तेजी से पत्थरों को दोबारा जमाने का प्रयास करने लगे, जबकि पहली टीम गेंद फेंककर उन्हें आउट करने की कोशिश कर रही थी। मैदान में सभी खिलाड़ी पूरी फुर्ती, समझदारी और टीम भावना के साथ खेल रहे थे। दर्शक भी तालियाँ बजाकर खिलाड़ियों का उत्साह बढ़ा रहे थे।
मैच के दौरान दोनों टीमों ने बहुत अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया। कभी एक टीम आगे निकल जाती तो कभी दूसरी टीम बढ़त बना लेती। सभी खिलाड़ी नियमों का पालन करते हुए ईमानदारी और खेल भावना के साथ खेलते रहे। अंत में सुंदरपुर टाइगर्स ने शानदार खेल का प्रदर्शन करते हुए मैच जीत लिया। ग्रीन वॉरियर्स के खिलाड़ियों ने भी विजेता टीम को बधाई दी और सभी ने एक-दूसरे से हाथ मिलाकर खुशी व्यक्त की।
इस खेल से बच्चों ने यह सीखा कि जीत और हार खेल का एक हिस्सा है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात है कि खेल हमेशा मिल-जुलकर, नियमों का पालन करते हुए और अच्छे व्यवहार के साथ खेलना चाहिए। टीमवर्क, सहयोग, अनुशासन और खेल भावना ही किसी भी खिलाड़ी की सबसे बड़ी पहचान होती है। सभी बच्चों ने निश्चय किया कि वे आगे भी इसी प्रकार मिलकर खेलेंगे और एक-दूसरे का सम्मान करेंगे।
